- Ongoing formation should take place in the fraternity
- The members are also responsible for our own ongoing formation both in and out of the fraternity)
- There are four aspects to ongoing formation
- Teaching about the Catholic Church
- Franciscan topics (our documents; writings of Francis and Clare; writings by Franciscan authors)
- Contemporary topics (How we live our lives as Secular Franciscans; writings of Catholic authors; documents like Laudato Sì; The Joy of the Gospel etc.)
- Prayer (Franciscan prayer life; praying the Scriptures)
