Who are we?

Secular Franciscans are Catholic lay men and women who are responding to a gift from the Holy Spirit of God, to emulate St. Francis of Assisi in their journey to follow Christ.

Where and When do we meet?

The Brother Jacoba Fraternity usually meets the first Sunday of every month and 1:30 PM -  4:00 PM. We gather at the St. John the Evangelist Church at 1204 Kentucky St, Lawrence, KS 66044. At each meeting, we begin with the Sunday Evening II prayers from the Shorter Christian Prayer (Liturgy of the Hours) including group prayer. This is followed by business/service items, formation, closing prayer and a social time. All are welcome to attend our meetings.
