We finish our Lenten series on the Rule with a special reflective prayer offered by Patricia Grace, OFS, JPIC chair, St. Francis Region. Today, on Good Friday, it is a good time to think about how we follow our Lord Jesus aided by our Rule of Life.
A Morning Franciscan Prayer
Based on The Rule of the Secular Franciscan Order
ALL PRAISE
(An Introduction in Your Own Words that Sets Your Intentions for the Day. For example, “I stand before You this morning, Sovereign God and Lord, and set my intention to live today…From the Gospel to Life, etc.”)
From the Gospel to Life, life back to the Gospel
To evangelize with my life
To live a Eucharistic life
And seek a radical inner conversion.
Through prayer and contemplation
Devotion to the Holy Mother
Uniting myself to the redemptive obedience of Jesus
And following a simple lifestyle.
I am then free to follow our Lord everywhere, in love
See the Christ Light within everything that lives
Engage in intentional acts of service
And creative initiatives for justice.
I will esteem my work and the work of others
Pray for peace within my family
Honor the universal kinship of all that lives
Seek paths of unity and harmony within the whole human family.

2. How do you carry or wish to carry Our Lord’s love into the world through intentional acts of Service?
3. Prayer and contemplation are daily and intentional. How do you wish to set your schedule in order to honor this commitment?

Concluimos nuestra serie cuaresmal sobre la Regla con una oración reflexiva especial ofrecida por Patricia Grace, OFS, presidenta de JPIC de la Región de St. Francis. Hoy, Viernes Santo, es un buen momento para reflexionar sobre cómo seguimos a nuestro Señor Jesús con la ayuda de nuestra Regla de Vida.

TODA ALABANZA
