The Gospel Through a Franciscan Lens – 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time – Fr. Christopher

Fr. Christopher reminds us: “As the Christ of the Cross of San Damiano informed Francis that our world and our lives need repair, our fraternities need fresh and inspiring vision to move apathy to empathy, to work for transformation for the healing of relationships with our church, our nation, and our environment.”

Beware of Scam Requests for Money and Gift Cards

Minister Jane De-Rose Bamman, OFS, cautions members to ignore requests that appear to be from her or other fraternity leaders requesting money or gift cards.  “Never send gift card info or money in response to a “request from Jane” or another leader in the Order,” Jane said. Some fraternity members recently received a flurry of scam emails made to look like they were from Jane or other leaders in the Order, such as regional ministers.
